There is something
almost human
about an old pot.
When I make
I want to infuse spirit,
like the hum of
an ancestor’s photograph
My forms are usually large wheel-thrown
vessels and tableware
that are altered and marked.
On the surfaces are slips, oxides and glazes,
or pieces are raw to claim ash deposits.
